teawitch: sonofmeatthawsmoth:Three years ago For those asking - Corporate Buddhism is all the “mindfulness” stuff that has made it’s way into corporate training courses and advice columns. I’d say it also includes “emotional intelligence” which is basically an attempt to teach compassion or at least convince people that they should act compassionate if they can’t really be compassionate. So far, I haven’t seen any of the many courses I’ve been forced to take over the years fundamentally change anyone. People tend to be focused when they have a connection to the task they’re doing. And no half day session is going to teach compassion to someone who has none. -- source link
