arlenianchronicles: Alrighty, here’s some more happy content! Eldritch Lúthien and Beril from my genderbent AU! It’s been a while since we’ve seen Beril, hasn’t it? I missed her, so I thought I’d draw some tender feels between these two <333Some notes on eldritch Lúthien: her mask is made of ivory like Melian’s, and the eyes and mouth aren’t carved open like your usual Elf’s. I imagine her body to be a mix of silver tree and ivory plates, hence her ivory arm. The flowers on her branches are ever-blooming niphredil; since they’re described as “a delicate kin of the snowdrop,” they don’t grow on trees … However, for the purposes of this AU, I’ve made it so that they grow on Lúthien’s branches (kinda like grafting? maybe?) and she likes to surround Beril with them!I don’t have any designs for Lúthien’s clothes, so I’m just going with a blue-gradient silk for now ^^;;; Also, the symbol on her mask is simple-ish version of her heraldic device, which I’m using as a way to indicate her Maia heritage Melian also has her own heraldic device on her mask, but in a more elaborate design). -- source link
