what-would-the-community-think: what-would-the-community-think: Tomie / 富江 (1998)I’ve always liked this movie. There’s just something so uniquely raw about the cinematography and general vibe of the movie, Miho Kanno did a very impressive job portraying Tomie and the movie itself has a great soundtrack. One of my favourite scenes, nearing the end of the film.. The final confrontation, Tomie kisses Tsukiko at the lake and they share an unexpectedly warm moment smiling/laughing together, despite the fact she’s a malevolent entity it almost seems that Tomie has let her guard down and is genuinely happy for a brief moment, however, Tomie suddenly realises that she’s about to be ‘killed’ by Tsukiko, poor Tomie just stands there and silently gives Tsukiko one final stare of complete betrayal and disappointment.. -- source link
