Promised some pictures from my vacation at Lake Balaton - It’s a very common place to be at summer here in Hungary but somehow I really loved it now even tho I didn’t swim in it at all (too cold for me now and the weather was bad). It’s a huge mass of freshwater, and just now did I realise how beautiful it is…. 1. The golden bridge across Balaton’s surface. Honestly I can’t imagine a more gorgeous looking sunset.2. The northern bank of Balaton’s is made of volcanic hills that have these weird coffin-like shapes, and this is the most famous hill like this, the Badacsony. It is home of some of Hungary’s finest wineries. (We didn’t bring home wine :^)))) it evaporated :^)))) )3. Tihany! It’s a peninsula that divides the lake into two sections. It has a mediterrean climate and is famous for its lavender fields and it’s monastery that you can see in the photo. From where I stood, if you yell something in a deeper voice, the monastery’s walls echoes it back at you :)4. As I said the weather was p bad but still the sunset is just awesome. -- source link
