When she was just a little girl, her father was still involved in travelling between worlds, and it was because of this that she lost her mother. She doesn’t remember much about her mother, only that her mother used to tuck her into bed at night and sing to her. She doesn’t know what happened to her mother, and she doesn’t ask her father because she knows that it makes him sad. After her mother was gone, Jefferson gave up his business to care for Grace, something that made her very happy. Until one day, when the evil queen came to pay him a visit, and he agreed to go do his magic again to give Grace a good life. He promised to be back soon, but he never came back. Grace stayed with the neighbors, never knowing what happened to her father. STORYBROOKE: During the curse, Grace’s name was Paige, and she was the daughter of the same neighbors that she stayed with in FTL after her father went missing. She was happy in her Storybrooke life, and had no idea that her father lived next door, forced for twenty-eight years to watch her have a life with someone else. Paige, or Grace, has always been friends with Henry Mills, and even before the curse broke, she had a bit of a crush on him. She was the only one who believed his theory about the town, and even offered to help him break the curse, but he wasn’t interested. He didn’t want her to get involved, saying that it was too dangerous. When the curse was broken, Grace waited for days, looking as hard as she could to find her father. She hoped that the curse had brought him here too, and one day when she was getting off the school bus, she heard him say her name. Running to him, she told him that she knew he would find her. She is so happy to be reunited with her father, even if being Paige and Grace can be confusing at times. She isn’t completely sure how to reconcile the two sides of her, and though she loves her father so much, she also loves the family that raised her in Storybrooke. And, of course, she still has a crush on Henry. THE RELATIONSHIPS: Family: Jefferson - father.
