Right photo: Eva Kor today) Eva Mozes Kor is a holocaust survivor, who along with her twin sister Miriam, was subjected to deadly genetic experiments at the hands of Dr. Josef Mengele. Eva and Miriam were the only ones in the family who survived while being held in Auschwitz. Eva’s parents, along with her two older sisters were all killed. Miriam died in 1993, after struggling with health problems relating to her kidneys and the experiments done on her by Dr. Mengele. In 1995, Eva founded CANDLES Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute, Indiana. Eva holds speaking engagements and guided tours at the museum, educating people about the holocaust and of the power of forgiveness. Eva has made a point of stating during all of her interviews and speeches that she forgives the nazis for all that they did to her and her family. She feels that offering forgiveness helped heal her of the pain she carried. -- source link
