homebrew-a-la-traumaverse:dungeonmalcontent: The monk of The Way of Blissful Night is a ki master of the necrotic kind. They can drain ki from other creatures or put it into a corpse to make undead minions. If you’re interested in other classes and sub-classes like this one, check out my 5e homebrew master list. Keep reading The art looks super nice. Unique layout, very eyecatching. Good job. Some thoughts/questions: Keep reading This is all actually pretty good insight. And refining this brew in the near future is a goal (currently I’m swamped with work).Though I would like to point out the following:Numbing strike has more RP potential than combat potential, and that’s honestly how I designed it. But it would effectively stack with ray of frost, making it potentially very dangerous. Also considering you get it at a fairly low level it’s useful for fleeing from combat.I believe ki vampirism specifies once per turn. But that still makes it possibly the most powerful monk ability because it not only incentives you to attack full sprint every turn, but allows you to. I do plan on revamping it.And yeah there’s strong friendly fire abuse for necrotic soul. But that late in the level, using a turn to restore your monk’s ki points is a waste compared to other spell potential. And if you aren’t in a crunch, short rest is safer.Anyway.Thank you for the review. I’m glad you like it. -- source link
