There was a bit of panic because the background was too saturated & was competing with the main figure, so I scrubbed off as much as I could with a wet brush and dabbing with paper towels (which didn’t do much, this paper really holds on to color), then put down a wash of semi-opaque white watercolor to further knock it back.
