Every Antagonist Ever, gritting their teeth: I want, Athos, Porthos, Aramis and d'Artagnan dEaD Rest of the Musketeers in the regiment: Rochefort in s2ep1: Their loyalty to the king is legendary. The rest of the regiment: Legendary? All FOUR OF THEM? D’Artagnan is a pup. He has been a Musketeer for FIVE MINUTES. The thing is, no one knows where these rest of the Musketeers exist. Nobody knows who they are. Not the King. Not Treville. Not the main four. And definitely not the writers. The only other Musketeers we know by their names are Cornet and Marsac. Cornet was dead even before the events of the first episode. And Marsac was a deserter. Remember the battle in the opening to s3 when they supposedly had a whole troop that Athos was captain of? And they just ran off back to Paris without checking if anybody else was still alive? Yeah they don’t know that there are other Musketeers either Casting department: So how many Musketeers as side characters do we need? Writers: No (Ever seen that post where it’s joked that BBC only ever has the budget for one attractive guy per period drama? Well, since they hired four attractive dudes in their main cast, they were simply running on a thin allocation to be creating these “rest of the Musketeers” characters) writers: can we clone santiago cabrera casting department: …………….. writers: then four will have to do Picard Creative Team: We have six attractive dudes in our cast at the cost of one.
