archiemcphee: It’s been well over a year since we first met the Zarathustra, the massive marmalade cat with a penchant for posing in classic works of art. That is, with a little help from his human, Russian artist Svetlana Petrova. “He adores posing for photos. He makes such coquettish poses and clever faces as if to say: “Paint me like these French girls…” So I do.” Petrova has amassed a collection over over 7,000 photos of Zarathustra that she carefully photoshops into famous paintings. “It’s a challenge, he has to fit perfectly into a masterpiece, in position, in expression, and sometimes it takes months to get the right photo.
