forloveoftennyson:In Memoriam A.H.H. | PrologueOkay, so I just reblogged this, but now I’m wondering if anyone knows of any books or essays on Tennyson and theology (especially relating to nascent evolutionary theories). I’ve already found one at the Victorian Web. I used to think of the first few stanzas as a rather orthodox beginning to such a doubting poem, but it just occurred to me that the idea of God creating death is quite heretical (at least from my theological and denominational perspective). It does tie into the strange anomalies of Theistic Evolution. -- source link
