ruthbancroftgarden: Sedum nussbaumerianumSedum is a widespread genus in the Crassula Family, found in many parts of the Northern Hemisphere, but Mexico has some of the largest and showiest species. This one is Sedum nussbaumerianum, native to the state of Veracruz in eastern Mexico. It is very close to Sedum adolphii, and some botanists treat it as a synonym, but the plants we have in cultivation are different enough that we maintain the two as separate entities. While Sedum adolphii has shorter and yellower leaves, S. nussbaumerianum has longer and more pointed leaves which turn remarkably orange. In a sunny position, it has some of the most orange-hued foliage of any succulent, so it is very useful as a bedding plant.-Brian -- source link
