smalltowngospels:When I was small there was a kindly old woman and her husband who lived next door. Every summer they grew the most beautiful red grapevines that yielded the sweetest fruit. The curling tendrils were heavy and drooped with the weight. The skins were soft and stained my fingers and cotton sundresses. When the old man died she made a scarecrow from his clothes, his pillow, and some straw and sat him in his chair. Years have passed and she has gone but he still keeps watch over their crop. -- source link
