I would imagine so. It’s been ingrained into them since childhood, they’ve been taught to fear their master, trained to obey. I think after she defected that it was the only safety she felt she had, the only security blanket she had left. But one night Clint catches her and with out saying a word he crosses the room and slowly unchains her puts the cuffs on the bed side table and crawls into bed next to her lies down and wraps his own hand around her wrists, because he knows she needs this to ground herself and if that means staying there all night, he will.
