thetravelinbum: I came out on March 8th of 2011. It has been 6 years 9 months and 3 days since I finally started living my life as it was meant to be lived, and I can honestly say I have NEVER been happier. Sure my Parents told me there was a Demon in me and that Satan was trying to take over my life, Sure they sent me to straight therapy and spent $400 an hour for a Mormon Doctor to tell me that these “thoughts & feelings were immoral”, Sure I’ve been called every derogatory term in the book, but none of that matters because IT HAS GOTTEN BETTER. Day by day I have grown to love and accept myself for exactly who I am. Moving to NYC only helped me grow to love and accept myself even more because for the first time in my life I now live in a city where you can be ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you want to be. So cheers to being YOU, cheers to NYC, cheers to the Holiday Season, Love yourself and ALL that you are. You are perfect & You are loved. (at Williamsburg, Brooklyn) buds -- source link
