rootandrock: WIP Mandragora Jar. (Bellarmine Jug with Mandrake features) Sometimes when you’re cleaning up around your mandrakes you accidentally spend a little too much time in contact with annoyed mandrakes, and they ever-so-slightly poison you. And then you spend hours drawing really weird stuff and feeling like you ate a handful of benadryl. Whenever my kilns are functional again I’m going to make this jar. This is the “thin line” phase that follows the pencil sketch, but comes before massive amounts of contouring and “shading” with line thickness. I’ve never been too good with pointillism. I finally found a mold that should make a really great base for this. One of the advantages of moonlighting at a place with an immense inventory of obscure ceramic molds. -- source link
