So I celebrated the “big three-oh” birthday (I’m so old) on Sunday. Did it up in style and and ate at State Bird Provisions (recently named best restaurant in America by Bon Appetit) in San Francisco. That was a good time. Sesame pancake and anchovies, sweet corn pancakes, beef tartare, buttermilk fried quail, chicken dumplings, pork belly and kimchi, melon granita and tapioca.
