The kitten’s birth marked the second live offspring ever produced with artificial insemination in Pallas’s Cat. The Pallas’s Cat (Otocolobus manul), also called the ‘manul’, is a small wild cat with distribution in the grasslands and mountains of Central Asia.Since 2002, the species has been classified as “Near Threatened” on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
