so this is a cactus i got a while ago. and its been pale af on top and i thought it was because it was getting too much sun but moving it away from the sun didnt help. i went to move it to another pot recently and i saw the root looked like this? and im not sure thats a healthy root? if u can help with both these things id really appreciate it :) ———— Those spikes kind of look like a thimble cactus. Is hard to ID with a fuzzyish picture but I think it looks like the spikes of a thimble. The pink root isn’t bad. It’s black you need to worry about. As for the paleness, it’s usually a sign of not enough sun. Cacti are pretty hardy and can handle direct sun, but make sure it’s not really hot temps in the direct sun. Put it in a spot that gets morning and evening sun. -- source link
