stormingtheivory: socialjusticeinamerica: the-demon-colonel: Seems the reality is much less terrible than the warnings Corporate propaganda through the ages. Now delivered directly to your home by Fox/Faux News. You know what’s interesting about this though is that the punchline of the comic rests on the idea that these things were implemented fully and Capitalism still survived. But in fact we still constantly see attacks on everything from the ability to strike and unionize, to equal pay (is this really claiming that women and POC are paid the same as white men now?), to the 40 hour work week, to… well, everything, basically, like any victory won is consistently challenged because capitalism functions best when workers are as degraded as possible. The comic is correct in that capitalists–not corporate whiners but CAPITALISTS, you can use the proper term, Liberals–throughout history have built their ideology around the suffering of the Proletariat. But it’s missing that historical dynamic of progress being wrenched violently backward, over and over again. So, capitalists will keep rehearsing the same arguments throughout history in order to grind the faces of the workers, and the only way to shut them up once and for all is to seize control of the means of production and instate full communism. A Good Cartoon. -- source link
