This is a community organization that raises money to assist with Black trans folks’ medical needs, as well as rent and living expenses. Inspired by “rent parties” during the Harlem Renaissance era, (where Black folks would host house parties with a small admission fee in efforts to pay their inflated rent prices), FOR THE GWORLS hosts a monthly party to raise money for their community.
