Taehyung is a hearth witch and Yoongi is a lunar witch, each with tendencies to dabble in artistic and musical magic on the side. They were born in the 13th century and have held a close bond since they were, to the mortal eye, teenagers. As young men in their mid-200s, they were forced to separate from their coven due to an increasing demonization of their kind and thus a need to live in smaller groups. Together they fled, hand-in-hand, with their dog-eared spellbooks and the clothes on their backs in search of more––not only safety, but to see the wider world, to obtain knowledge, to help others, and simply to be in each other’s company.They spent many years living a relatively nomadic lifestyle in order to achieve such things, honing their crafts along the way. In the 1740s, following the decline of witch hunts in Europe and North America, the two settled within the forested outskirts of a quaint town in a large but cosy home with a small cottage attached to the property. With their combined experience and wealth of knowledge in alchemy, healing spells, divination and connection to the earth’s offerings, they turned the cottage into an apothecary, servicing both the local human public under the guise of ordinary herbalists and general physicians, as well as other mortal-deemed ‘supernatural’ beings who travel from far and wide for their remedies.Taehyung and Yoongi come off as a little old-fashioned for contemporary times but they adhere as necessary and tend to keep to themselves.
