1.28.17 - An old photograph of the painted desert that I bought in North Hollywood. Never sure how to tell the difference between aloe and agave (by looks, at least), but if that’s agave in the foreground I could have passed that very same plant just 3 months ago while I was there - agave can live up to 100 years old! I actually learned a lot about agave from this blog (http://www.moplants.com/life-and-death-and-agave/) if anyone is interested in cool plant info! -- source link
