wxhluyp: When that new boy started at your school, and mutually you could tell that you weren’t like the other boys. The subtleties of demeanor and slight mannerisms that you could only pick up upon, if you were the same. If you were also soft, sensitive, shy boy. You made a connection of the coming weeks, quickly becoming best school friends. There was an awkwardness when we agreed that we should do something together, when away from school, on the coming weekend. An awkwardness you dismissed as silly….. You were just two boys planning to hang out on the weekend…. When you did meet up on that weekend, the undercurrent of awkwardness was all the stronger. Continuously convincing yourself that this isn’t a date….. that you both aren’t like that. And then the moment came, when it was time to part ways, and then suddenly, an overwhelming silent tension, as it became apparent that we weren’t to “fist bump” like all the boys at school usually did, and an air of intimacy and butterflies filled our stomachs. And it struck me….. …….. are we really going to…… kiss???? When I found myself in the midst of us making out, the weight of it came to me, realizing I was kissing a boy on a date! -- source link
