to-your-grave-i-wrote: Need help outlining? I am working on my own planning for November and decided to share my new method if there is anyone who is having trouble organizing their thoughts. Behold my new best friend. FreeMind is an efficient way of ordering events, elaborating on subjects, and outlining the structure of your story. It’s neat and easy to use. I’ll never need to search for the reason my character just made an about-face in personality, because it’ll be right there as part of their little tree. If I wanted, I could even link the details of the changes right to the scene in which the change occurs. You can download and read about FreeMind here. (Also: it’s free.)
