Millennials will remember the period from approximately the year 2000 to last week when the only* advice economists had for young people who didn’t want to be poor was “don’t buy Starbucks, Starbucks is a moral failing and you will deserve to die destitute at the age of 28 if you buy it”. But, uh oh, I guess not enough people are buying Starbucks so now it’s all “buy Starbucks you wealthy perverts, how evil of you not to buy Starbucks, your unwillingness to buy Starbucks is why you deserve to die of COVID”. -- source link
