Roots of The Dinner Party | Feminist Flashback Friday Chicago and her volunteers created the runners
Roots of The Dinner Party | Feminist Flashback Friday Chicago and her volunteers created the runners over months, and even years. Appliqué, felting, historical embroidery, sewing, lacing, braiding, bargello, cross stitching, petitpoint, crochet, stumpwork, quilting, beading, and weaving all appear in the runners. This photo shows Susan B. Anthony and Boudica’s runners in progress, on the new type of needlework frame designed to allow volunteers to view the entire composition as they worked.
