in-a-cottage-in-a-wood: the-darkest-spark: breelandwalker: in-a-cottage-in-a-wood: Spell Jar: “Can You Not” Okay, so as mentioned yesterday, I’m struggling with my workplace at the moment -or more to the point, the people I work with- and so I’m pulling out all the stops to get through each shift until I can land another job somewhere else. This is a tiny spell jar I made last night, heavily inspired by the lovely @breelandwalker‘s “Banishing Powder”, though as a sort of alternative to scattering. Contains: -Black Salt-Cayenne Pepper-Chilli Powder-Egg Shell Powder All sealed with wax, and kept in a little bag on my person to ward off unwelcome attentions. (NB - This isn’t great egg shell powder, as you can probably see. It doesn’t help that my pestle and mortar is a bit pants, but remember kids: Always make sure you’ve removed all the egg membrane before making your egg shell powder ^^”) Oh now this is just DARLING! And what a good idea for folks who can’t go chucking powder willy-nilly in the workplace, too! Well done! :) @in-a-cottage-in-a-wood Hi~ I’m curious, what is eggshell powder used for? I mean, magically, that is. I’ve seen people use it in spells, but I’ve never been able to find if it has any specific properties. Just going on instinct, I would presume that it would be great to use for defense, maybe a correspondence to shielding, but any extra information you might have would be lovely. Thank you! :3 Hi there! Your instinct is spot on, actually! :) Egg shell powder is used primarily for defence, for “thickening your outer shell” so to speak. You can use it for repelling all sorts of negativity, for warding, or for personal charms, as a way to boost your armour. Hope this helps! Thank you so much! That info definitely did help. ^.^ -- source link
