deliciae-delectae: justanotherdumbcunt: What it took me a while to realize is that a girl who’s good at higher math is something like a dog playing piano. People think it’s amazing, basically because it’s imitative of true (male) intelligence; it’ll earn you no end of praise and maybe a figurative pat on the head (”good girl!”), but that’s it. The truth is, it really doesn’t matter what she writes on that blackboard. She can get straight A’s, graduate with honors, and land a great job, but in the real world she’ll find that the only time she’s truly valued is when she’s on her knees, or on her back. That equation was solved years ago, the day she was born a girl. I told him I had been that morning at a meeting of the people called Quakers, where I had heard a woman preach. Johnson: “Sir, a woman’s preaching is like a dog’s walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all.” –James Boswell, The Life of Samuel Johnson, LL.D.
