We lost our friend Artie Gaffin yesterday. He was the stage manager for Oh Hello on Broadway and countless other Broadway shows. He was funny and kind and sharp and warm. He was everything you’d want in a stage manager and friend. He’d bring us chocolate babka every day in our dressing room. He loved delivering cake to people on their birthdays. He’d write all the stage manager performance report for all of our shows and they were works of art. He did everything for us: including pulling up tape in our rehearsal room. He gossiped about those who deserved to be gossiped about. He praised and comforted those who needed it. He had more people come to visit him during our run than I could imagine but as I got to know him I understood why: once Artie was in your life you couldn’t imagine not having him there forever. And now we don’t have him and that is very sad. But I’m so grateful that I got as much time with him as I did. He was literally the best and I know he will be bringing the angels Babka up in heaven. Rest In Peace, Artie. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2Z6fn7AGjp/?igshid=kchod4qp3oyr -- source link
