The Kammerlader Pistol,The Kammerlader pistol was just a pistol version of the Kammerlader Rifle, an odd Norwegian breech loading rifle popular with the Scandinavian countries. To load the pistol one would just turn a crank. The entire chamber of the pistol would fold upward, so that the user would insert powder and a ball. Turning the crank again would fold the chamber back in place and lock the breech. To cock the user pulled on the trigger guard, which acted as a lever which cocked small hammer near the front of the guard. The user would then place a percussion cap on the nipple, and pull the trigger. -- source link
