suppermariobroth:In the beginning of Super Mario 64, one of the Lakitu Bros. stops Mario when he walks up to the bridge in front of Peach’s Castle to explain the camera system. The activation radius for this cutscene covers the entirety of the bridge, but not the railings or the area behind the bridge, in front of the door.During speedruns of the game, the cutscene is usually avoided by performing a Long Jump to make Mario land on the railing, followed by another Long Jump to the floor on the other side of the bridge. However, there is an alternative way to avoid the cutscene. If Mario jumps on top of one of the hills behind the starting point, he will have so much momentum when sliding down the hill that a well-timed triple jump will be able to clear the entirety of the bridge, as seen in the footage.Main Blog | Twitter | Patreon | Small Findings | Source -- source link
