so-much-to-play-with: When my friend asked me if I wanted to perform in front of a huge crowd, I of course thought I wouldn’t do it. Hundreds of people watching us? Far from sure we’d have a proper spot and secured suspension point? Hell, no. I’d declined. Yet I thought I still could talk about it with my Little One. Basically to scare her, yes. I’m mean, I know. And of course, it worked…However, after her first reaction, I noticed that she kept asking questions. Where? At what time? Just us? So I asked us. Was she OK to do it? “I’d follow you if you chose to do it. It’s so far from my current concerns, it’s welcome.” Wow, I didn’t expect that… Not that she shouldn’t feel good enough, of course. She’s a crazy good rope bunny and I always try to maximize her confidence but thinking that she’d be ready to: 1/ perform, 2/ do it in front of such a crowd? She’d got far more guts than I thought! I love it!So here I am, taking info to know if it’s a good idea or not, if safety can be meet, if privacy can be preserved… But all in all, that’s not the most important. It’s just that I’m very proud of her for challenging herself in this. Seeing that she can do it because she’s got the skills to, and if she thinks she can enjoy it, just telling me so…I do not expect us to do it here, the conditions are too chaotic, but performing one day? Maybe. We’ll see. -- source link
