Its hard to tell in this pic but if you have just planted these in the substrate - DONT. Anubias nanas, and any of the family grow from a rhizome. A rhizome needs to be above substrate in order to grow. These plants do best by growing on rocks and driftwood. You will kill your Anubias VERY quickly. Fun facts:A rhizome is by definition an underground stem.Anubias species are stoloniferous, possessing a stolon, an above ground horizontal stem.Fear not, I’ve had these plants for four years, so I know to keep the stolons above the substrate.
