Sponichi mentions that of the two groups of artists one will always be from the 80-90s period and one group will be from the ‘young’ generation. They’ll make a unique arrangement from one of the guests popular songs. Oricon has a whole bunch of new info and comments from all of the members:Yasuda Shota (main guitar) said excitedly ‘The first step is to show more people that we also perform as a band’. Maruyama Ryuhei (base) also said ‘This time when I’m playing base, people will definitely notice if I skip certain parts or make mistakes (bitter smile), but I’ll be facing that reality head on and improve my skills.’ There will also be ‘regular artists’ who will join in with the sessions.About the guest artists, Yokoyama Yu (percussion) said ‘I hope we will be able to hear more about their attitude towards their music as well as where their source of motivation.’ Ohkura Tadayoshi (drums) is also very excited ‘Since we will be collaborating for the first time with these artists that don’t appear on normal variety shows, its a great motivation to me! We will make great use of this experience in our future activities’ Every time a different member will interview the artists about their life, their music, about their work and about the feelings behind the lyrics and such and then present in to the others in front of the artist.‘I’ll continue to do my best using my sucky talking skills!’ said Nishikido Ryo (main vocal and guitar). Murakami Shingo (keyboard) said 'We might be able to destroy the image people have of Kanjani8, but in a good way, so I have high hopes’.They’ll also have more TOP5’s, like JPOP’s best guitarsolos chosen by guitarists, or Singers with the most vocal power chosen by mixers.Full member commentsShibutani Subaru: Since we will be hosting our own music program, I’m hoping this will be an opportunity to show off our own musical ability. Being able to have sessions with lots of different artists isn’t something we are normally able to do, so its a really great opportunity that I’m really happy about. I want to do a sessions with as many people as possible, regardless of what genre music they play. I can’t imagine what kind of music will be born that way (lol), I’m really excited about that. We will also be able to have deep conversations with other artists, their way of listening to music should also be very different from ours. Personally I want to absorb all of it. Nishikido Ryo: To be honest, besides during concerts we have had no opportunity to constantly use our instruments. That’s why, I to use this program to meet a lot of different guests and I would like to use the opportunity to learn new performance techniques and even if its just a little I want to improve as an artist(lol). About talking, I was told by staff that its al right not to get too used to it, as long as I do my very best my personality will show through. That’s why I’ll continue to do my best using my sucky talking skills! This time, lots of different artists will come so I’m really looking forward to it. Since this will be such a rare occasion, I want to take pictures with all of them (lol). Maruyama Ryuhei: I’m looking forward to the sessions! I play the base for Kanjani8, so I’m hoping to learn new skills from other bassists. This time when I’m playing base, people will definitely notice if I skip certain parts or make mistakes (bitter smile), but I’ll be facing that reality head on and improve my skills. If we get the opportunity, I would also like to do an instrument shuffle session. I also play other instruments besides the base, so I think it would give a different impression. Yasuda Shota: Being able to have sessions with different artists…such an extravagant chance! I’m also looking forward to what kind of conversations we will have, I’m really looking forward to it. I want to enjoy— the music will enrich our hearts, the conversations will become a motivation— things like this, distinctive of the hour. In this program the first step will be to show more people that we, kanjani8 also perform as a band. With regards to our instruments, every time, we will be influenced by the 2 generations of artists and I feel that this will be an opportunity to take what we have been doing until now to the next level. Ohkura Tadayoshi: I think program will be a good opportunity to show everyone a new side of our the image. Since we will be collaborating for the first time with these artists that don’t appear on normal variety shows, its a great motivation to me! We will make great use of this experience in our future activities. I’m also looking forward to the corner where we will be investigating artists by ourselves and showing that on the show. By doing that we can have deeper conversations with the artists, which will come across to the audience as well. I’m already thrilled by it. Murakami Shingo: With music as the main topic, how far will we be able to go in 1 hour…that’s what I’m wondering. The staff also said that in this program each members task isn’t decided and that they want us to just go with the flow. We might be able to destroy the image people have of Kanjani8, but in a good way, so I have high hopes. Also precisely because 2 generations of artists will come, the reaction between the two will become this programs greatest charm. We will try to extract new things from the guests by aimlessly confronting them, but in a good way. Yokoyama Yu: I’m really looking forward to being able to work with lots of different artists. I’m not worried about anything! We normally don’t really interact with other artists, so I hope we will be able to use this opportunity to hear more about their attitude towards their music as well as where their source of motivation. The most important thing is to create something that the audience will enjoy, while we enjoy ourselves as well. While consulting with the staff, I would like to create ‘good music’ as well as a ‘good program’. -- source link
