They say that being bisexual gives you the best of both words. But sometimes it can be the worst. Lisa was her best friend since Highshool; they were inseparable, even when it came time to go to college. Emily was thrilled when her best friend told her that she was thinking of living off campus, and would need a roommate. Or more like an appartment-mate. Not just because she loved every second she spent with her, but because deep down, Emily wanted to be more than friends. She just didn’t know how to reconcile her feelings. You see, she also had the worst crush on her classmate, George. He was a bit quirky, but he had a great sense of humor. He could always make Emily laugh. She didn’t know him all that well, not as well as she knew Lisa. It was so confusing. She hoped that spending time with her friend in college would help her make up her mind. When she got to the appartment, she found out that Lisa had a boyfriend. It was a bit of a devastating blow for Emily, but she was her friend and endeavored to make herself happy for her friend’s sake. Maybe that settled it; after all, clearly Lisa liked boys, right? Of course things are never that simple, not with girls. Lisa’s boyfriend, you see, was George. And he’d be living with them as the third roommate. Emily didn’t know what to make of it, living with the two people she loved most in the world, who she wanted to be so much closer to. But just… couldn’t. So she listened at the wall when the two were together, wishing she could be with them. Wishing she could make those noises, or that one or the other would make her. She was so confused, though; sometimes being bi is the worst of both worlds. -- source link
