xthegirlwithkaleidoscopeeyesx:Aaah ok, so all of these seem to be saying the same thing, so I’m going to reply to all at once, and this is the last time I’ll answer seriously.Basically everyone seems to be saying “I respect your choice, so you must respect mine”. I’ll respect your choice if it didn’t contribute to cruelty. It’s as simple as that. I won’t respect your choice if it is to kick puppies, I won’t respect your choice if your choice is to microwave kittens, and I won’t respect your choice if your choice is to contribute to this: I hope atleast some of you come back to look at the answer, and understand the difference between respecting someone’s personal choice to do whatever they want with their own body as long as it harms no one else, and this. This harms animals. ‘Harms’ is a light word. This makes everyday living hell for the animals and they have done nothing to deserve this. And I don’t want any of you to respect my choice (nor does any other animal right activist). But I do want people to respect the lives of the animals, and respect the fact that they deserve to live peacefully, and they deserve not to be mere ‘products’.As for the one question about whether I support PETA, no I don’t and nor does any other vegan who actually cares about the well being of animals. They harm animals and harm the movement and they’re misogynistic and fat-phobic.I’ll be happy to answer any more questions about veganism or animal rights, but hate will simply be ignored. -- source link
