swagosauruss: k so here is my rough, almost-but-not-quite-biased graph of the development of the big 3 pairings: NaruSaku (orange), NaruHina (purple) and SasuSaku (red). NaruSaku: as best as i could, i tried to represent the constant, sometimes-subtle/sometimes explosive positive development of Narusaku; it starts out low and slow, but even in the chapter Sakura is introduced, the positive development for NS begins. It only changes at that big negative fluctuation near the end; the confession scene. While it can be seen as either a good or bad thing, for naruto and sakura, it definitely was a negative moment (loss of trust, intense arguing, etc)with positive outcomes; as detailed by the steep recovery. and it just continues to climb. For NaruHina; while not as bad as it’s sister pairing, it’s development is positive yet nothing ever comes from it; after the blood sacrifice, the confession, the eyes scene, and 615, their relationship reverts back to that same static, awkward, one-sided interaction that refuses to take them anywhere past friendship. it could have the potential, but too many factors along with kishi never truly developing them prevents that from happening. and finally SasuSaku; definitely the modt negative of the three, it’s slight positive development in part 1 wasnt enough to counteract the horribly negative moments that followed; the end of part 1, the murder attempts, sasuke’s mixture of apathy and slight dislike towards sakura. the major ups include; team 7 forming, the forest of death, the hospital scene, and hundreds of chapters later, the team 7 reunion. the major downs include him calling her annoying in chapter 3, telling her off about the curse seal, the other hospital scene (apples), the end of part 1 and practically all their interaction in part 2. so it’s pretty clear which couple has been favored, development wise. ofc, this is just my opinion, but it’s how i’ve seen the manga be written. and this is how i spent my valentines day. Literally the most accurate thing I’ve ever seen :’) -- source link
