Today a man named Art walked into the shop carrying this 1964 @coltfirearms government 1911 series 70. He sits down and tells me how his commander after Vietnam gave it to him. He’s had it ever since but can’t field strip it because the slide stop pin won’t give. I stopped and thanked him for his service, he paused for a minute and said “Son you are the fifth person to ever say that to me”. Art we can never repay the debt you and all the service men have given this country. Art doesn’t know it yet but whatever is wrong with this firearm he won’t owe me a dime.
