I simply cannot capture the massive amount of #EhrendorferiaChrysantha on this hillside. Photos don’t do it justice. AKA #GoldenEardrops, these plants rarely germinate except after wildfires. The #ValleyFire2020 really set these off! There weren’t this many last spring but certain hillsides have these massive stands of them. They’re easy to distinguish from the more highlighter-yellow of invasive mustards. Photo 3 features Encelia farinosa/incienso/brittlebush in the middle but that whole hill behind it is all eardrops.
