After Samsung made one of their biggest moves yet in November 2016, the five top companies of the entertainment industry became connected, but still separated as they are. Their artists mostly interact with themselves and, upon further thought, Samsung has decided to invest in promoting their companies as one strong unit, together.To achieve this, Samsung has chosen to open a new youtube channel to share its entertainment industry-related content. It will have a schedule of different types of videos and shows to be uploaded every day throughout the week. All company-specific content will continue to be uploaded to their own company’s channel. The only videos to be uploaded to this new account will be the ones listed below and, in the case of new shows to be added in the future, an update post will be made.This new channel will be called ‘S-POP’ as a combination of ‘Samsung’ and ‘K-POP’ in order to also appeal to an international audience.The scheduling and shows to be available on the channel can be seen as written below!** MONDAY: AFTER MOM IS ASLEEPreference ( x )In this setting, idols will pretend to be awake later than usual and will have to go through various situations in which they may not make noise. In case they pass the 70dB mark, that’ll wake their asleep mother and they’ll receive a penalty. ** TUESDAY: DANCE HOW TO!reference ( x )The MC in charge will explain and teach to all international fans the point choreographies of all the biggest hits from your favorite Samsung artists. The video will be made in English, and explained with their body!** WEDNESDAY: IQSreference ( x )Three MCs will welcome their idol guests to their set. Through a variety of different challenges and games, both MCs and guests will fight for the chance of a random prize. ** THURSDAY: MV COMMENTARYreference ( x )Your favorite Samsung artists will be invited to the set to watch and react to their own music videos. They’ll share experiences and secrets behind each scene that you probably haven’t noticed or heard before.** FRIDAY: SAMSUNG STATIONreference ( x )Every week, a brand new song will be released by one of Samsung’s artists. It’ll have its own music video and may also mix and match artists from different companies. Rumor has it Nara herself has already started working on a song for this project.** SATURDAY: LIVE STATIONreference ( x )After making their song release on the day before, the artist(s) in charge of the week’s station will attend a live show to talk about their experience as well as perform the song live. ** SUNDAY: IDOL CAFEreference ( x )The two MCs will welcome only the most popular idols to their brand new cafe. The two will compete to see which of their drinks is more popular amongst their guests, and then make sure their stay is the best as possible with games and questions.And so, today, on January 15th, an announcement has been made on every entertainment company under Samsung.We’re hiring trainees.While they won’t know every detail of this opportunity, trainees will be notified that multiple spots have opened for the role of an MC on a youtube show. On January 26th, trainees will be called to a small room in groups of two (from the same company) to show what they’re capable of. Their results will be individual, which means that the way their partner acts won’t affect them positively or negatively. Please keep in mind the S-POP channel hasn’t been created yet and it is not public knowledge that there are plans for it to exist. This opportunity was simply promoted as that—a vague opportunity.
