supersonicart:Heather Day’s “Keep Still” at Hashimoto Contemporary.Currently on view at Hashimoto Contemporary in San Francisco, California is artist Heather Day’s solo exhibition, “Keep Still.”Shifting between traveling and working in her studio, Day creates piecesthat represent both profound and mundane situations. Her encompassing murals, spacious canvas paintings and intimate drawings read like handwriting—from one side toanother. The artist’s lexicon of marks is an evolving language; symbols meant to bridge thethoughts between what is known and how it is felt. “Keep Still” is a reflection on thisprocess. Flooded acrylic pigment, intentionally rakish graphite marks, and torn paper -these new works are a study of the relationships found through consequential shifts inperspective. The exhibition is on view until May 26th, 2018.Don’t miss Supersonic Art on Instagram! -- source link
