Yoshiki Hishinuma fashion boutique - Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, JapanDesigned by Yoshiyuki Morii“This boutique, opened in Dojunkai apartment in Harajuku, Tokyo is a brand shop for a rising fashion designer Yoshiki Hishinuma. What they call “air-ware” is a design concept. It is an object or a kind of transparent float. A interior designer co-worked with an artist to display the objects in this project. Air wares are inflated, not strong and in various sizes. Different displays and installations of the air ware are located considering each strength and maintenance. After the air-wares had been decorated effectively to show off themselves, other parts of the interior were done. Many were used on top of displays on the border between the interior and exterior, for this shop is on a road and the light is necessary for the transparent material of air wares. As a result, a view of the interior is beautiful in the daytime, and you find a view of the shop exterior is exciting at night The air-wares function as a traditional Japanese shop screens do.” Scanned from ‘Beauty Salons and Fashion Boutiques 2′ (1999) -- source link
