I like how Go’s awkward behavior with people could also be seen as the cause of his issues with teamwork, he was a lonely child who didn’t understand himself, had zero friends, seemingly felt slighted by the few people he did befriend so far, and on top of it has his own issues with Shigeru’s ways at times. He really did “feel” like a MC/protagonists here actually even if he did lose in-comparison to his mates, him getting less in the end versus his rivals did seem like a “one-step ahead” thing was in place. My favorite scene was Shigeru (he felt seasoned and shittalking without feeling “regressed”) snarking at him and Tokio also calling him out on his issues and him just looking down with that sour face of insecurity he often had in earlier episodes or Shigeru’s first episode. -- source link
