She was especially revered by soldiers and generals for granting success in battle.Her worship is attested as early as the late 3rd or early 2nd century BCE by the dedication of a statue in Rome. A temple in her honor was built on the Palatine in 294 BCE. Christian Emperors continued depicting her on coins as an allegorical personification of victory, an angelic being linking the old and new religions of Rome. -- source link
