mimic-of-modes:lorenzocheney:This is my 1790’s costume, which I haven’t posted here yet. I made it last year, and the jacket & hat are completely hand sewn. Information on how all the garments I’m wearing were made can be found on my sewing blog.1) It is real weird seeing you in this again because I’ve gotten so used to the frock coat look.2) I still really love this outfit - it’s not like anything anyone else is making! I’ve never seen a chapeau-bonnet/chapeau à la Charlotte (forgot which it is, or maybe both) that I can remember.Thank you! It’s weird for me too, because this outfit is not “me” at all, but it was a really fun costume to make! I’ve only worn it twice though, and that makes me sad. Maybe I should sell it.I don’t remember what that hat is called either. I think I have seen a few other costumers make them, but they were slightly more practical sized. -- source link
