The SIG Neuhausen MP46 and MP48,A submachinegun made by SIG in Switzerland, the Neuhausen was a 9mm SMG that fired from an open bolt. However its most interesting feature was its compact design. Pushing a latch on the left side of the firearm allowed the magazine to be folded up parallel with the barrel. While the MP46 had a wooden stock, the MP48 had a collapsing wire stock that made the design even more compact. Unfortunately the SMG was not a commercial success and was only purchased in limited numbers by the Swiss Police and the Chilean Army. -- source link
