heyitsapril: babeland: sexedplus: This piece is about prude-shaming and compulsory sexuality. It’s sort of a companion to this other piece, which is about slut-shaming and how wanting to have lots of casual, unconventional sex doesn’t make you a bad person. Follow SexEdPlus or check out SexEdPlus.Com for more stuff like this! It’s important to keep in mind that sex positivity doesn’t just mean “Yay! Sex should be fun and safe and shame-free!” (although it does mean that as well). Sex positivity also means that you get to define what sex is, whether you want to have it or not, with whom, when, and how. Yay! “Sex positivity” doesn’t just mean that we should all be sluttin’ it up all over the place all of the time without feeling any shame (though, if that’s what you’re into, please definitely do that!) but rather it should mean the respect towards the choice to make one’s own personal decisions regarding their own sex life and the feeling of safety to do so without being shamed or shaming others for their choices, as long as everyone is safe and consensual. -- source link
