ethuveraz: david jenkins is a fucking blessing and this interview had me actually crying, because! yeah! yes! exactly! how many times has a piece of media made me feel wildly fucking stupid for hoping to see myself on the page or the screen? how alienated have i been from shows and movies and books because of this feeling of clumsy, ham-fisted stupidity?i felt grubby and greedy, pawing around for queerness in places where there was none, and then this show rolls up and says “here it is! we made this for you! you, a single 30 year-old gay trans man who feels like he has missed his chance to find love and community because he was too busy sorting himself out! there is still hope and joy! there will always be hope and joy! you have time!”it’s pretty much beyond my ability to find words to express how fucking important this show is. -- source link
