I’ve had an idea percolating for a little while now for a DMBJ fandom week, so I thought I would float the idea out there to the wider world and see if anyone bites. ^_^The idea is to celebrate characters who are minor (think VERY minor, i.e. this poor girl who tried hitting on Wu Xie in TLTR but who might make a good gf for Xiao Bai (thanks, again, for putting that in my head, @fan-man-huaisang! ;D)) in any of the wide world of DMBJ canon or who are, at the very least, underappreciated (think fewer than 10 fic tagged with that character on AO3). The week wouldn’t be limited to fic, of course: meta, fanart, playlists, gifsets, edits, etc. are all welcome.The key thing is that whatever you create be centered on a minor/underappreciated character. Other characters can appear in the fic, but the minor character should be the central player. So, for example, writing Iron Triangle fic with a brief appearance by A-Ning’s second in command from TLT1 would be very much against the spirit of the week, but writing fic about that second in command reminiscing about his past with A-Ning and how he wishes he was in the tomb to support her instead of being stuck up top babysitting High-shao and Chen Chen would be fine.I’d probably be aiming to run it sometime in the summer or early fall of 2022.So… anyone interested? ^_^(If you think you’d be interested, please let me know in the replies, or by liking and/or reblogging the post.
